The Silures Art Group is currently represented by about twenty five artists from the area of Glamorgan who meet regularly to exchange ideas and to develop and exhibit work.
Formed in 1996, we take our name from the ancient Celtic tribe who inhabited this part of South Wales at the time of the Roman invasion.
The group hold touring exhibitions in such venues as Cowbridge library, The princess of Wales Hospital,Bridgend, Kenfig Nature Reserve, Margam Park and Bryngarw Park in order to bring their work to a wider audience.
Exhibitions have also been taken to France and Poland by members of the group and French and Polish artists have exhibited in the Gallery.
Following the success of many exhibitions held by the group, the gallery has been approached by numerous artists from South Wales who see the gallery as an excellent exhibition venue for their own work.
